Our Classes
The Pilates Clinic offers a variety of classes perfect for any skill level.
Introduction to Pilates (Private Only)
This is a beginner class for those who are new to Pilates or returning after a long hiatus from Pilates. It combines Mat work and Reformer with Joseph Pilates’ nine principles of exercise: Breathing, Concentration, Control, Centering, Precision, Balanced Muscle Development, Rhythm/Flow, Whole Body Movement and Relaxation. Mat work is the foundation that helps build strength and awareness of how the body moves combined with reprogramming poor posture and strengthening weak muscles. The Reformer is an apparatus that compliments the Mat work. It uses springs and pulleys and other features to help strengthen and stretch the body. This is a prerequisite for beginners before moving on to duet and group classes. 2 classes recommended.
